Truth in Death

Death beckons us,

like the sweet call of the night

Waiting patiently in the shadows

Wanting nothing, seeking nothing

Its arrival unannounced

Sweeping like a wind in grand gesture

Death befalls as the night becomes still

Quietly weeping while the silent tears fall

The pain, the anguish,

As death becomes us all.
